It is always best practice to use DI or RO water, as the bath life is improved when used. However, suppose DI or RO water is unavailable, Axxatec™ 30C is hard water-compatible. We found no significant protection difference between the bath made with tap water (200 – 250 ppm hardness) and DI water.

ZERUST® Axxatec™ 30C is a water-based rust inhibitor that’s low foaming and designed to provide up to several months‡ of indoor storage and in-transit protection with a dilution of 2 – 5% per application.

ZERUST® Axxatec™ 30C water-based rust Inhibitor can be applied via spray or immersion, leaving a clear protective coating after drying. It is safer and more economical to use than solvent-based systems. Axxatec™ 30C is designed for use on ferrous metals but may provide some protection to other metals such as copper, brass, and bronze. Test before use on non-ferrous metals. Do not apply to aluminum parts. Depending on the situation or application, Axxatec™ 30C may also be used as a light-duty cleaner-rust preventative combination product.
