Zerust® ZindiKator 331 is a point-of-use, solvent-based analytical reagent for determining the concentration of proprietary Zerust® corrosion inhibiting additives in Axxanol™ rust preventative products. Applicable for measuring both virgin and working solutions, ZindiKator 331 is a useful tool for incoming quality control inspection and regular monitoring and maintenance of in-use rust preventative baths.
To ensure a user-friendly experience, the ZindiKator 331 reagent is conveniently packaged in a ready-to-use kit containing all the necessary consumable components for measuring Axxanol™ RPs.
Formulated with patent-pending technology, ZindiKator 331 reacts with select Zerust® corrosion inhibiting additives in a concentration-dependent manner (0.05 – 7% Axxanol™ 33 concentrate) to produce a blue/green colored product. While readily detected with the naked eye, the formed product is best measured via visible light spectrophotometry, where its absorbance of red light at 700nm provides the greatest sensitivity.
Requiring only single-point calibration for accurate results (≤10% Error), the corrosion inhibitor concentration of a sample Axxanol™ RP fluid is simply determined by comparing the absorbance (700nm) of its ZindiKator reaction product to that of a reference standard with a known concentration.
