“VCI” stands for Vapor corrosion inhibitors. These corrosion inhibitor compounds emit from the VCI paper, film, or emitter and settle on the metal surface to form an invisible layer that prevents oxidation by interrupting the electrochemical corrosion process caused by moisture, oxygen, and contaminants in the atmosphere.
