ZERUST® AxxaClean™ 2048
ZERUST®/EXCOR® AxxaClean™ 2048 is a fast-acting and (nonhazardous) safe rust remover that rapidly removes light to medium corrosion even in cracks and crevices. In addition, cleaned surfaces are free of black-carbon residue and resistant to flash corrosion.

Product Description
ZERUST®/EXCOR® AxxaClean™ 2048 cleans ferrous metals, brass, copper, and various alloys of rust and tarnish. AxxaClean™ 2048 has a pH of about 2.5, similar to a soda drink, making it simple to use and minimizing disposal hassles. AxxaClean™ 2048 is a safe rust remover and comes in multiple delivery forms; Immersion, Spray-On, and Brush-On. Cleaned and dried items can be immediately painted or welded. For optimum results with AxxaClean™ 2048, rinse cleaned items with a solution of AxxaVis™ PX-05AN acid neutralizer and dry thoroughly with filtered compressed air.
Surfaces treated with the rust remover are protected from flash-rust for several days in a controlled environment. Then, to prevent the metal from rusting again, protect it with ZERUST® VCI packaging films and papers. For corrosion-prone metals such as cast iron, use a ZERUST® rust preventative such as Z-Maxx, Axxanol™, or Axxatec™ liquid coating.
